DownUnder Reality

Downunder Reality

What is a photograph showing: the reality, the viewers’ or the photographer’s perception of such reality?

This “série” of photographs is exploring this key issue by focusing on a situation which is not uncommon in Moscow at this time of the year: a view of the city reflected into a puddle after the rain. First, the world as we know is inverted - like in a mirror - providing a new perspective on an image of every day’s life. Secondly, this reflection is merged together with the real world superposing both real and reflected worlds. By such process the known scene is altered giving way to a new perspective.

The process has been repeated in different places around Moscow City.
